Insurances

We maintain current insurances appropriate for commercial, residential, and civil works.

Quality Assurance

All Huff Group projects abide by (and where required exceed) the following:

  • Queensland Electricity Connection Manual (QECM)
  • Electrical Safety Act 2024 and applicable Codes of Practice
  • AS/NZS 3000:2018 Electrical Wiring Rules
  • AS/NZS 3012:2019 Electrical Installations — Construction and Demolition Sites

Project documentation includes ITPs, inspection checklists, test sheets, commissioning records, O&M manuals, and conformity certificates to support verification at each stage.

Partners and Certifiers

We work with accredited partners, registered certifiers, and NATA-recognised testers as required by scope and jurisdiction. Certifications, calibrations, and compliance records are available on request for tender and handover packs.

Safety Requirements

Our safety management framework combines independent advice, formal training, and on-site controls.

Independent Oversight

Huff Group engages Suncoast Safety as an independent safety advisor for auditing, system reviews, and critical risk guidance.

Training and Competency

Annual Safe Isolation and CPR training for all employees. Role-specific competencies maintained for high-risk tasks, plant operation, and live-site work.

Site Induction and Pre-Start

Project-specific inductions, site rules, and hazard briefings. Daily pre-starts and toolbox talks to manage changing site conditions.

Risk Management

SWMS and JSAs for all high-risk activities. Hierarchy of controls applied with clear permit-to-work processes.

Electrical Safety Controls

 Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and test-before-touch. RCD testing, thermal imaging, and verification prior to energisation.

Incident and Hazard Reporting

 Immediate reporting culture, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions tracked to close.

Personal Protective Equipment

PPE issued and enforced according to task risk assessments.

Emergency Preparedness

Site-specific emergency plans, spill kits, first-aid equipment, wardens, and evacuation drills.
